We reported last summer that Bamburgh had been voted the ‘best seaside town in the UK’ by Which? but we are absolutely delighted to report that this beautiful beach has now been voted the 3rd best beach in the world by TripAdvisor!
Residents and regular visitors to Bamburgh are well aware of the beauty this area of Northumberland holds, but to be recognised worldwide proves just how special Bamburgh beach is.
This was voted for by travellers and outranked amazing beaches in far flung tropical destinations such as Hawaii and Brazil.
In a new category titled ‘One of a kind’; aimed to celebrate the most unique beaches in the world, Bamburgh beach was recognised for its "miles of soft white sand and dramatic coastal scenery". It listed alongside recognisably amazing beaches like Boulders Beach in South Africa and Anakena Beach on Easter Island.
